Here on earth we have human made laws to obey. Every country has their own different laws and rules. If you break one of those laws, you will get punished, a money fine or maybe a jail sentence. All these laws that apply here on earth are made up by humans, which make them all relative and time bounded. Our cosmos also has its own set of laws or principles which apply to everything in it, nothing excluded. Instead of the endless pages of laws, rules, exceptions to the rules and sentences tied to the crime, the cosmos has in my perspective only twelve main principles.
These twelve universal principles are there whether you acknowledge them or not. They always apply.
The twelve principles of the Cosmos are:
1. The Law of Divine Oneness
Everything is essentially consciousness, purity and joy.
Shankara – Hindu mystic – 9th century
Everything that exists comes from one and the same Source/Oneness. This Source is a unified field of consciousness permeating the whole of creation. Because we all come from the same source, everything and everyone is connected with everything and everyone. This connection means that the world does not consist of separate things. Mind and matter are not separate from each other. We human beings are not separate from each other nor are we separate from our planet earth, nature or what looks to us like non living matter. This universal consciousness goes by different names like love, ether, energy and light.
2. The Law of Correspondence
“As above, so below “.
The Law of Correspondence states that there is symmetry between all life. The same patterns are reproduced on all levels of the cosmos, from the level of the Universe down to the level of the sub-atomic particle. So even the smallest particle carries the properties of the total with it. It is just like our bodies. They consist out of cells. In one single cell all information of the total body is stored. We are a microcosm of our planet Earth and our Universe is a reflection of an atom and vice versa. The Law of Correspondence helps us to understand the process of creation and gives us the key to becoming creators ourselves.
3. The Law of Vibration
This law states that everything in this universe vibrates. This vibration began with the first breath of the Source and will continue to expand until all will return to its origin. Vibration is energy. Energy moves in circular patterns and never disappears but it can be transformed into a different energy. Thoughts, feelings, words and actions are also energy. Everything is energy, even a table or a chair. All energy vibrates at different resonances. And not only energy itself but all that is formed has its own resonances because of that composition. So everything has its own vibration where or what it may be. Every moment we create our reality with the energy that we are vibrating on at that time. Higher vibrations absorb and transform lower vibrations. The other way around is not possible.
4. The Law of Rhythm
The Law of Rhythm states that everything in life reciprocates. Everything moves in cycles and at a certain rhythm. Everything in life comes, stays and then disappears. All is subjected to this rhythm. Some examples of these cycles are: Birth- life-death, day and night, ebb and flow, our weather seasons, in and out, back and forth but also de highs and lows in our own lives. Before and after every peak in your life a low point is programmed to happen. When you acknowledge this law in your life and really understand it, you will be able to stay more balanced at the low moments… you know that there is always a turning point coming. As for the peaks, you learn to cherish and appreciate those moments more because you know that there will be a turning point. Nothing is everlasting.
5. The Law of Polarity
The Law of Polarity states that every form of energy has two extremes. The highest and the lowest vibration. Everything is dual, everything has poles. Everything has its pair of opposites; hot/cold, wet/dry, high/low, black/white, happy/sad and so on. Opposites are identical in nature but different in degree of vibration. When matter was created in our universe, polarity was simultaneously created. This polarity is needed to exercise our free will. Without these poles we would not be able to experience anything. You would not be able to recognize happiness if you had not experienced sadness.
6. The Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like. This universal principle shows us how we attract things, situations and people in our own lives. This has to do with your vibration frequency you represent at the moment. Our thoughts, feelings, words and actions make vibration frequencies which in turn attract similar vibrations. When you think a little about this principle, you will come to the conclusion that this law is actually a mirror when applied in your own life. Our inner thoughts and emotions determine our energetic level and that determines what we attract and what we repel. This law gives us a chance to really get to know our inner self.
7. The Law of Action
The Law of Action makes sure that action and intention are both needed for the intended effect. Our Creator created the entire universe with the power of intention. In our dimension the power of intention alone is insufficient. We need to reinforce this with the appropriate behavior and actions. Only when our thoughts and our actions are aligned with each other, are we able to achieve the desired result. Intention x Action = Karmic Effect
8. The Law of Cause and Effect
“Reap what we have sown“
This principle is a fundamental law behind everything what happens in the entire universe. It states that nothing happens by chance and that every action has its reaction or consequence. We are responsible for creating our own reality. Every time you do something or do nothing, it will have a consequence in the total web of energetic connectedness. Here on earth we have a free will to do as we please but our free will is always our responsibility. You will never be able to dodge the consequences of your behavior and actions. All of us will experience the consequences of our actions and how we treated other people in this life or in a later life. This is not meant as punishment but more as an opportunity to grow. Experience is the best teacher.
9. The Law of Relativity
This law states that every person will receive a series of tests or problems meant to strengthen their inner light and awareness. We must consider each of these tests to be a challenge and remain connected to our hearts when proceeding to solve the problems. It also makes sure that we never receive lessons in life which we are not ready for. All problems we come across are chances for us to reach a higher consciousness or higher vibration. The cosmos will never let anything get in the way of our growth and gives us challenges that we are ready for at the moment. This principle also teaches us to compare our situation to others and can offer a different perspective on things. We can be in a bad situation but there are so many others out there who are in an even worse situation. It’s all relative.
10. The Law of Compensation
This law is there to make sure that sooner or later our intentions will be compensated. This compensation works both positive and negative. If we give to others with the right intention, our compensation will be tenfold. The visible effects of our good deeds are given to us in gifts, money, inheritances, friendships, and blessings. We can receive this compensation in this life or even lives to come.
11. The Law of Gender
This universal law states that everything has its masculine (yang) and feminine (yin) principles, and that these are the basis for all creation. Men and women complement each other and need each other for an optimal result. This law is about the feminine and masculine energies within each of us. Balance between our masculine and feminine traits in our thoughts, emotions, words and actions are a necessary condition for growth.
12. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
This principle makes sure that all energy can be transformed. It states that all persons have within them the power to change the conditions in their lives. Higher vibrations consume and transform lower vibrations so each of us can change the energies in our lives by understanding the universal laws and applying the principles in such a way as to effect change. This law gives us the possibility to use our free will in a better way. It helps us influence our daily problems and improve our circumstances. The law works with the power of intention. The pureness of our intention and the power of our will determines the effectiveness of our deed.
Universal patterns describe the fundamental beginnings which rule the function of our earth and the rest of the cosmos. These principles teach us that we, people, co- create with our Source with the help of our thoughts and actions. They teach that energy, vibrations, light and movement form the universe. They teach us that patterns of consistency are part of our physical and spiritual worlds and that there is a consequence or effect for everything we do. These principles help us understand why and how things happen the way they do. Unconditional love is what created us and everything around us. It is the energy force behind all. It is the highest vibrating energy you can imagine. Being able to resonate at that level is what we are here to learn. If you really understand and apply these principles in your own life, transformation will come and love and light will raise your energy level. You know now that you create your own world and that karma is your sentence. Use your free will wise and remember we are all one. If you harm some else, you harm yourself.
Love is all. Love rules. So let your love rule above all! ♥♥
